Here at Che Shale, we have our own dhow, Sawa Sawa. She is a beautiful, spacious wooden sailing boat built in the East African traditional style. Sawa Sawa was hand-built in Mozambique with teak and other hardwood and she was sailed all the way to Che Shale by Justin and his crew.

​Operating exclusively from our beach from October through till April, Sawa Sawa is available for our guests to experience the beauty of our coastline the traditional way.

Ways to Sail With Us

• Chilled Bay Sail (2–3 Hours) Slip away for a few hours of pure relaxation. We’ll take you on a gentle sail across our beautiful, quiet bayperfect for a morning breeze or a stunning afternoon on the water.

• Full Day Coral Garden Excursion The ultimate beach day. Sail out to the vibrant Che Shale coral gardens for swimming and snorkelling, followed by a spectacular grilled seafood lunch prepared fresh and cooked right onboard by our crew.
